BMV 712 Smart - Control internal relay via external switch

Hi everyone,

does anybody know if it's possible to control the relay of a BMV 712 Smart via an external on/off switch? My plan is to use the BMV to cut off all loads from the battery.

Nope, but depending on what you want to accomplish you can put a switch in series.

If you want to use the bmvs internal logic to cut off connections when e.g. soc is to low, but also want to have the ability to manualy cut off, then just put a switch in series.

Edit: Okay, to be fair, if you use a Gx with note red, then you can control the relay with an external switch. Buts thats not very practical just for that scenario.
