I am searching for technical aspect of the MPPT 150V controllers. Specifically at what point the controller starts to derate with regards to heat sink temp and array input voltage. I currently use two Morningstar TS MPPT 60A and they derate the output current when heatsink is over 80 deg C and array input is over 115V... the graphs are in the user manual.
Is there a similar derate graph/ spec for the Victron MPPT 150V controllers?

These units operating input Voltage is up to 145V without derating.
Full output power up 40°C ambient and then an operating maximum of 60°C.
Okay that's good to know my panels are 200W and I have to keep the strings at max 3 panels to keep the VOC below 115V. I tried strings of 4 but the 60A controller wouldn't charge above 45A as the VOC was around 130V. I am going to purchase a victron MPPT 150/85 (similar price) and replace a Tristar and see how the output compares. I imagine the Victron heat sink will go above 40 here in the Summer but I can always add a cooling fan.
Also I can change the strings on the Victron to 4 x 6 rather than 3 x 8 currently with the Tristars.
