Smart Solar Output Current Limited by What?

Since the Smart Solar MPPTs can be set for a higher maximum output current than their ratings, what actually happens? Can a 50A MPPT be set at 60A, and put out 60A until it overheats and folds back?

Could you advise where you read that they can be set higher.

Having just read the manual yesterday I did not find reference to that.

My understanding is that the smart Solar MPPT "clips" the input to a max of the rated current.

ie: a 250/85 will clip the output to 85A even if the output could be higher due to oversizing the array

This must be a bug in the demo library. I tested it with a real 150/60 and when you set the current higher than 60A it jumps back to 60A.
