MultiPlus-II, CT, AC current sensor assistant

Hi all,

I need to add a CT to an ESS system using a MultiPlus-II.

The plug has been cut off the CT (wire not long enough). Instead of re-adding the plug and using the designated CT sensor input on the MultiPlus-II, can I also connect the CT to the Aux 1 of the MultiPlus-II and use the "AC current sensor assitant" for that purpose?

Do I also need to enable the "External current sensor connected (see manual)" in VE.Configure? Or is that referring to the designated CT sensor input on the MultiPlus-II only?

My understanding is that the usually blue current sensor that connects with that aux-like endpoint inside the multi does not need a change in settings because the multi treats it like the internal component.

it’s only when you have an externalmeter like the ET112 which that you change the settings.
