MultiPlus 12/2000/80 output

On the data sheet there are two descriptions of the inverter output:

continuous output power at 25 degrees Celsius (VA) (3) = 2000
continuous output power at 25 degrees Celsius (W) = 1600

I presume the (W) is watts. what does (VA) stand for

Thanks

Tim

Hi @tim22, welcome to the Community!

The VA stands for Volt-Amps.

For a detailed discussion of the difference between Volt-Amps and Watts, have a look at Section 6.3 of Victron's free book "Wiring Unlimited"!
