BMV 712 ve direct conected to phoenix 800 ve direct port

Hi all

Can OR should I conect a ve direct cable from my pheonix 800 inverter to the ve direct port on a BMV-712 ?

Hi @Chrisb077,

no. There is no data communication between the Phoenix Inverter and the BMV.

So It won't use the BMVs blue tooth to be able to view/change inverter settings via the VE-direct cable ? I will still have to get a VE to Bluetooth dongle for the inverter ?

yes exactly. Using a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart Dongle, you can view and change settings on the Phoenix Inverter.
