Quattro: Question regarding Battery charging

hi new to victron.

I have a quattro 5000. on a narrowboat uk

how long does it stay in float for should the led be lit constantly. my batteries are saying fully charged. there is no draw on the system at the moment but the float led has been on for 16hrs. should there be any noise. it is making a humming noise not the fans.

It is hard to say for sure without more details on your system. the humming noise will be the transformers inside the unit.

Do you have solar? Does the sixteen hours include overnight?

Are you connected to shore power?

Usually it means the batteries are sufficiently charged and you have not drawn them down enough to trigger a bulk charge, this also depends on if your battery setting are correct.

The humming is most likely the inverter electronic hum. float duration is a calculated time based on battery type and total Amp Hr capacity. What do you have installed?
