Multiplus output voltage stability affects BMV-712 SOC

This is for a motorhome on shore power. I've noticed that the BMV-712's SOC will slowly decrease when on shore power. The Battle Born battery is fully charged and on float of 13.60V. I've noticed that when the air conditioner turns on, the Multiplus' DC output will decrease slightly for a awhile, and this will of course allow the battery to discharge a little. This slight discharging when the AC voltage dips is what's causing the SOC to decrease over time. I should think that a power supply as good as the Multiplus would output a stable 13.60V (what it's set to with VEConfig) regardless of a slight dip in AC input power, but no. Why? I've had regulated bench power supplies that had a rock solid DC output regardless of AC input variance (and DC load variance). What gives? Is my Multiplus defective? Thanks for any insights.
