When my Quattro 8KVA unit was installed the "motherboard" was faulty and was replaced with a 10KVA motherboard. The unit now reports to a a 10KVA unit. Are these boards compatible and if so, when a firmware update is done must it be for the 10KVA unit? It is a brand new unit.
Yes they are compatible. If you update using Victron Connect it will choose the correct firmware or update it over the vrm.
Just one word of caution though it is not a 10kva unless they have also updated several components like the power pack as well.
