DIY VE.Direct cable?


Hello

My first post here so please be kind to me.

Does anyone know if I can use one of these (see below) to make my own VE.Direct cable?

Are you looking for ve direct to ve direct cables,

or ve direct to usb cables??

You will have no isolation for your devices but theoretically they will work.

Only use the Gnd, Tx and Rx. Most of the information is available online but no support is available and if anything goes wrong your warranty could be void.

I have only interfaced with the BMV-702 that I own, but was a little surprised to learn that the RX/TX signal levels are 3.3V. It's likely this is the case for all devices so make sure the voltage of your cable/dongle is the same.

But really, if you have to ask then you're probably better off purchasing a purpose-made cable that ensures everything is compatible.
