Does a Multi use Power Assist in ESS scheduled charged mode?

Hi, we use ESS extensively on residential 5KVA and 8 and 10 KVA quattros (mainly). We configure a schedule charge over the evening peak so that we have 95% of battery in case of a very likely power outage (in South Africa). On some sites we need power assist so that the household does not breach their 60A incoming breaker during peak loads (supper time in winter). Will power assist work in a scheduled charge cycle?

Furthermore - is there an application note on how power assist works and what the factor of 2 stands for? And when should this be adjusted?

Hi @RichDouglas,

The Multi will respect the AC input current limit, and still run a load priority, using PowerAssist, even during the scheduled charging window.

There is some more information about PowerAssist and the factor in the VEConfigure manual here - https://docs.victronenergy.com/veconfigure.html#inverter-settings
