DC/DC conversion 12V to 48V

I need to feed a very small 48VDC load out of a 12V battery (about 10W). I am considering the possibility of connecting the output of two 12V-to-24V isolated DC/DC converters in series.

Is this series connection an option?

I'm not sure if all power supplies would appreciate being series connected like that. It seems goofy but it might be safer to go 12-to-24 and then 24-to-48, because yeah, the market seems to lack any good 12-to-48 options.

I did find this little guy, which personally I would just slap into a project box with the requisite output cap, but that's hardly an off-the-shelf solution.

China, open frame: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271853178929 1200W

Meanwell Pin mount or flying lead LDH65-1050 60W 1050mA Nice package for small power usage.

Also lots of lower power options from Meanwell, all aimed at driving 48V LED arrays from 12V source
