Quattro does not want to switch on

HI

Quattro 10000/48 with color Control and Smart Solar 250/100.

The Quattro has switched off and I have struggled to get it on again .

The Color control is connected on the battery terminals of the Qauttro and the battery measures 53V on the Terminal.

After several attempt's by disconnecting the batteries the Quattro fails to switch on . I took a chance and disconnect the color Control from the inverter . The Inverter did switch on thereafter and I have connect the color control back on and all seems to be fine .

ANY REASON WHY THIS HAS HAPPENED ?

Regards

Hi @Johannes Cronje

What is the battery specification? This is typical of a system where the battery is too small to handle the inrush currents.

Best regards

Riaan

HI @Riaan Barkhuizen

The site uses Trojan IND13-6V Batteries for backup Power . Set to ESS keep batteries charged .

The battery you have should be adequate amps to start the Quattro.

Hi Johannes,

I have exactly the same problem with my MultiPlus + Venus GX:

  1. The AGM batteries became discharged below 50%
  2. Solar had charged them back to >75%
  3. I tried to switch on MultiPlus inverter and NOTHING
  4. I removed the VE.Bus cable on Venus GX and MultiPlus inverter switches on
  5. Replacing the cable on the Venus GX once inverter is running is no problem
  6. After switching inverter off I have to repeat step 4 whenever I turn on inverter

All firmware is up-to-date and battery state is fine, but the fault has never recovered.

Thanks
Richard
