Actually having a completely dead Quattro 24/5000/120-2x100 (19xxxxx firmware). No led activity, no response to inverter/off/charger switch, no response using MK3 interface...
The question: is there any action to do on-site? any internal fuse to check inside the units? (it is a bit complicated to send units back to factory, because of their actual location)
This is the general scenario:
There are two Quattros configured off-grid, installed (both) 6 years ago. These systems were configured as two independent systems, each having its own solar panels, charge controllers, bateries, etc, so both worked alternatively, using a manual transfer switch on their ac outputs. As each unit is 120Vac, there were no 240V available
Now, as site needs 240V, we are trying to reconfigure them as split-phase. We re-install everything to do so. Both units were hooked to a common bus bar, DC cables 4/0, exactly 1-meter length, negative pole directly tied to busbar, 250A DC MCB on positive poles, etc. At the moment of performing the first "no load" tests (the bare inverter without any output cable nor load), the 1st (alone) inverter worked good. But, the "no load" test in the 2nd (alone) inverter worked good... for 20-30 minutes... and after that, it got completely unresponsive
dc input 26.8V, no cable tied to the ac output, 122V on the AC input terminals (from a local generator), but the #2 unit ...completely dead
As a (risky) test, we interchanged motherboards from units #1 (good) and #2 (unresponsive), and found both motherboards were ok (both m'boards worked good at unit #1, no-one worked at unit #2)
So, went back to my first question: Any suggestion? i'm thinking in checking the internal power supply (there must be one) of the #2 unit, but any guide?
