Can I use the BMV712 for my 24V battery bank and use the AUX to meassure my 12V starter bank ?

I would say yes. The manual does nowhere say that it's strictly forbidden.
IMO this setup is quite usual for example on a boat, but tbh I've never seen a BMV in this setup.
