Hello, i am installing a boat with a two bank 24v system switched 1/2/both/off. Also a victron split charge diode which requires both banks -ve to be permanently linked. I have bought 2 bmv-700 monitors as I would like to have visual information on both battery banks at the same time. Will this work and which side of the 2 shunts should the link cable be on?
Hello @Sandisland. On the negative cables on the battery side for each separate bank is how the bmvs are meant to be installed if you are wanting readings of both banks.
The DC link cable needs to go on the Load / Charger side of the shunt. The one and only connection to the Battery side of the shunt should be the battery negative of the battery to be monitored.
