Multiplus 24/800/16-16 Chassis Grounding

I want to wire my Multiplus to a 3 prong (L, N , E) plug and plug that into a home wall socket to use as a UPS. The manual states:

"- In a fixed (for example terrestrial) installation an uninterrupted chassis ground may be provided by the AC input ground wire."

What is not clear to me is if I need to split the earth wire coming from wall power to go into AC in and also the chassis ground. Are they combined internally or not?

Hi Karl,

This sounds very dangerous, please engage a qualified person.

Not sure how wiring it up to a grounded plug rated at 16A is "unsafe", but okay. Elaborate please? Still does not answer my question.
