MultyPlus 3000 - need repair, does not start

Good afternoon.

I am marine service engineer. I ofter work install Victron MultyPlus as UPS on ships.

Today i've got two devices - MiltyPlus 3000 - for repair.

Both does not start. No any indictation, no errors. No smoke of exploded elements inside.

Duty power supply (12V, linear transformer) works normally.

What can I do? Can I get the schematic circuit from the manufacturer?

Thank You in advance.

Victor-

It is odd that you would have two failures. Have you checked for 12VDC at the connection terminals inside the units? Is there any component connection to either of the RJ45 ports?

Hello @Victor Panov;

The MultiPlus does not contain any user-serviceable parts. Please contact the dealer or distributor from whom the devices were purchased for troubleshooting and/or warranty repair service; if you don't know the dealer/distributor from whom they were purchased, you can use this form and Victron will locate the original seller based on the device serial number.

One thing to note is to ensure that if there are any remotes on the system (GX device, DMC, etc) that are set to "off", the MultiPlus will likely not power on. Another thing to note is that if the DIP switches are set to "remote present", the Multi also may not power on if the remote is not connected to the Multi.

Please see the MultiPlus manual for proper DIP switch settings, proper connection methods, and further troubleshooting.

Good afternoon, dear @Justin Cook

I should start by being a service engineer, not a customer.

True, our company is not a representative of Victron. The qualifications of our specialists are enough to service equipment like this, but we do not have the initial data.

Therefore, I would be grateful if I were provided with a service manual or more detailed information.

We could also discuss how to become a Victron dealer.

@Victor Panov, being in the component service industry as well, I'm sure you can appreciate why Victron must ensure that all repairs be performed by trained personnel familiar with the components and construction of the devices. The service manual for the device is available here, which may be useful for you, but additional troubleshooting steps for the units you have and/or warranty service/replacement inquiries must be made with the distributor or dealer from whom the units were originally purchased, which information you can find in the links I provided in the above answer. Any work or service performed by unauthorized persons may, of course, void the rather excellent warranty on these units, so I strongly encourage you to follow the proper channels for troubleshooting and/or repair or replacement.

With regard to becoming a Victron dealer, I suggest that you contact the Victron main sales office or your regional sales manager, which information can be found at: https://www.victronenergy.com/contact and I'm sure that you'll be put in touch with the correct person to discuss it!
