ESS 3 phase with exporting to grid and phase compensation (partial solution found)

Hi All,

How do I stop the exporting of power from the battery as it seems to be charging then exporting and repeating this all the time, and the graphs are thus not working correctly.

I have a new system up and running its 3 x 15KW Quattro units setup as a 3 phase

we have 2 x 3 phase 20K Grid Tie units connected to AC1 out

being L1 L2 and L3

ESS has been installed on all three units

no other assistants have been installed

Firmware is 465

There has been NO loads connected to the AC1 out as of yet and we are exporting all the solar power to the grid ( loads will be connected in mid Jan)

However even at night I see that the battery's are exporting on off on off etc etc and during day the swings are worse

I have turned phase compensation off and it still dose this

VRM access is available if required,

The Graph of battery voltage and current tells the story

I have not connected any AC current monitoring coils on the solar inputs. is this causing the confusion

Also The Freq in and Freq out are diferant, Frequancy in is smooth and does not move however freq out is up and down, Like AC in Freq is always 50.1 but AC out Freq changes between 49.9 and 50.1, I dont see a issue here but just wondering how this could be. VRM screen shot attached.

This is happening even at night when the solar is off?????

Update. Partial solution found

Working much better

I have now changed the Min SOC in the ESS from 95% to 100% and the gyrating graphs have stopped. and everything now seems ok

But this should not be happening I would think and we are getting confusion happening between the different phases. or for some other reason

Hi @Paul B

Do you have a grid meter installed? this behavior often comes from incorrect wiring (phases shifted or swapped)
