Just a quick simple one (I hope) before I purchase a BMV712: several auxiliary powered loads (sockets etc) in the back of my 4wd are chassis grounded (ie no individual return to negative terminal). As long as the auxiliary battery only has the shunt attached to it, with the chassis ground attached to the system side, everything should work ok right? I don’t have to do anything with the main (starter) battery which shares the chassis ground? (I’m not interested in monitoring the main battery).
