Battery Protect Programming

I’m installing 240ah Lifepo4 batteries in my caravan. These batteries have a built in BMS that kicks in at 9.2v, absorbsion at 14.4v and float at 13.8.

I am installing a 100 amp Victron Battery Protect for the overall caravan load

Can I get advice on the programming of correct voltages and mode for the 100amp Battery Protect.

Thx

As you already have a BMS then I'd put the Battery Protect in LiOn mode and have your BMS control it with high or floating signal to switch the Battery Protect on or off. In this mode the Battery Protect acts rather like a relay

Thx. The batteries have the BMS Built into the casing so you can not connect to the BMS itself. Maybe the Victron Battery Protect is an overkill but I was installing it as a further safeguard. I have tried programming on A2 but for some reason the system goes “to sleep” and power is cut off to the vans 12v circuit.
