MPPt 75/15, Sargent EC400/460 and AGM battery

Hi,

I recently changed from Sunsaver Duo to Victron MPPT 75/15 which is feeding into a Sargent EC400/460 unit which is turn is connected to a 85AHr Yuasa AGM leisure battery and a sealed leadacid van battery. This Sargent unit does not have a solar regulator but does have a "intelligent three-stage charger/power converter". So my question is making me feel a bit silly but here goes...which device is controlling the charge going into the leisure battery. The Sargent does when on EHU or when the alternator is providing power but what happens on solar? Will selecting the battery type via the bluetooth app for the Victron have any effect if the Sargent is making the decisions?

Thanks

Rory

Hi @insider

You'll have to look up in the manual of the Sargent device.

Normally you connect the MPPT directly to the battery
