Is there anyway to set a Voltage point where the charger starts to reduce peak charge current and eventually reduce to close to zero at the maximum allowed charge Voltage?

It all depends upon the state of charge of the battery, the maximum terminal Voltage specified by the manufacturer and the health of the battery.
As the battery charges up and it teaches the maximum Voltage defined by the Absorb Voltage setting then the charge current will gradually reduce
