Multiplus II 48/5000/70 only ~3500W

Hi,

just noticed that my Multiplus never delivers more than about 3,5kw of Power. At some point in the last Year the max power dropped from 5kw zu about 3,5kw. After a cerbo gx reboot, it goes up to about 4kw, but later stabilizes at about 3,5kw. The config hat not changed, no updtes were installed. There are no Limits (at least that i'm aware of) set up.

Its a 1 Phase setup, feeding into the Grid on L1, the Sum of L1+Critical Loads for some reason never goes above about 3,5kw. I know that for Austria theres a Profile that limits the outputpower to 72%, but that Limit has been disabled from the start, and is definately not active. I hope someone has an Idea of what might be the Problem.

The max. continuous output power for the MP2 5000 is 4000W @ 25°C. It drops down to 3700W @ 40°C and then further down to 3000W @ 65°C.

So maybe you are somewhere between 40...50°C and the output power is reduced accordingly?

A short peak of about 5kW is possible, but not permanent.

BTW: You have to add the 284W of the AC Loads as well. So you are at about 3734W. That would even better explain the power reduction of the Multiplus2.

@jetlag @HenryK The multiplus actually has two ratings and in "feedin mode" it is 4.4kW and off-grid 4kW. Running it at 100% for prolonged periods e.g. feeding in or powering large loads will certainly will have a performance impact. In an ESS setting I have personally never seen it exceed the output beyond the 4.4kW as the grid is instantly there to make up for shortfalls. I have however seen my 3kVA (2.4kW) off-grid system run at 3.5kW for 10 minutes or more when the tenants did not realise the grid dropped and turned on heavy consumers.

Hi,

that was fast :)

Thanks for clearing that up, makes sense! I guess I'll need to add another mp2 to my setup.
