AC output power increase with generator

Hi all ,

When I connect the generator the AC output increase. Any one know why ? 1000030888.jpg

The inverter measures RMS.

You will notice several things change when your generator connected. Voltage and frequency mainly power factor if you have weak ac checked as well. This connection changes the sine wave significantly as the inverter is synchronised to the incoming and will change the reading.

Edited correction. For clarification.

The magnitude (and shape) of the waveform changes the reading. Phase angle and PF not. Realised my explanation above can muddy the water so to speak.

thank you @Alexandra. So I shoul think that is a normal behavior. In your system ocurre the same?

It doesn't happen with all generators just some of them that I have seen on the field.
