Multiplus 3000 DC current draw

We'll be installing a Multiplus 3000 charger/inverter along with two 300ah Relion lifepo4 batteries in parallel.

The specs on these batteries allow 100 amp continuous discharge each so, 200 together. Is this going to be enough to fully power this inverter?

It's not easy to answer, you did not state the battery Voltage.

For 12V system it will be 3000/12 = 250A

For 24V system it will be 3000/24 = 125A

For 48V system it will be 3000/48 = 62.5A

That's the raw figures. You need to account for surges etc. which will push the numbers up for those brief moments.

Thank you, I have a Multiplus 48V 5000VA 70A and I figured that the maximum current draw was 70 amps, but I recently learned that it was the charge current and not the discharge current. With your formula, the maximum discharge current is 5000/48 which is close to 105A.

That explains why my battery protection which is 100A is frequently triggered when I'm close to overload.

I supose it's a 12v system.

If it's the case then no. You should read wiring unlimited.
