Lately I've been running into issues where Im getting a ton of High Voltage Alarms normally when the batteries are full or near full charge. System is around 3 years old.
My setup:

Venus GX (v2.92)
MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-48 (v482)
SmartSolar MPPT VE.Can 150/100 rev2 (v3.13)
4x BSL Batt B-LFP48-125E - 48V (51.2V), 6.4kWh, 125Ah

I have no idea where to even start looking for the issue but I do have the home integration for my system so I do collect and store a lot of info. I've attached some of the screenshots from the recent alarms.

Like all of these type of events, it is reported by the BMS.

So the standard advice applies.

Double check the settings vs the BSL reference setup doc

https://www.victronenergy.com/live/battery_compatibility:bsl

Use VRM advanced widgets to chart cell min/max from the BMS - this will show if there is a disparity.

If there is one, the GX should report which cell this is.

BSL have PBMS tools which allows you to connect to the battery and check the BMS readings as well.

@nickdb thanks for the response. I followed the guide you sent and these settings look correct now. Looks like they weren't adjusted after my last 2 batteries got added.

New batteries is an important piece of information that should have been mentioned.

New batteries will have these issues, it can be a pain adding to an existing pack. New batteries should be master. They should be charged to a similar level before being added.

BSL is slow to balance and the errors are normal on young batteries. Its best to leave them on keep charged for a few days.

Again, check the charts for min/max cell voltage.

I would chat to your supplier for help as this isn’t easy to diagnose over the internet without all the detail and suitable access.

@MDK

How much later were the batteries added?

There is usually a sticker on them somewhere with their firmware number on them.

They made quite a few firmware changes. Might need to see if you can get them (BSL) all onto the same firmware.
