Autonomous system: Solidswitch to turn off MPPT to save standby power

Hi! We have a system with minimal power needs and long running time on power.

In that system even the smallest MPPT would be the biggest consumer by far when it would be in standby (which is most of the time).

The idea is to use that to disable the power to the MPPT with a SolidSwich, so we can eliminate the constant current draw. Any ideas? Obviously the charging current would be limited to 4A to stay within the limits. Option B would be to use the SolidSwitch to power a small relay.

@eliott

what will be signalling this Switch for this autonomy? How is that powered? Might just be switching one consumer for another?

Why not just have a normal battery disconnect that disconnect all consumers. You switch that when you are leaving?
