DESS how it calculates when to byu/sell/use battery?

Hi

Using DESS, I noticed that the decision to start charging started at yesterday at 13:00 hours. It charged the 16kWh batteri until full. Buy price was 1,08 kr/kWh up to 1,15. My formula for pricing states: p*1,25+0,35. And the cost pr. cycle pr kWh is 0,67kr. So my understanding, the price for the charging was about: 1,08*1,25+0,35+0,67 = 2,37kr/kWh. A bit later, buy price is 1,15 which adds +0,07 / kWh.

Question 1: Why did it wait until 13:00 before starting to charge? The price was much cheaper earlier in the day. Is it because it doesn't know the next day's pricing until about 13:00 o clock?

The next day (today) the price in the evening will be: 2,68 at 18:00 and a little less 19 to 20:00. It has then decided to supply loads with battery, which I guess is smart, as the cost for the battery kWh is about 2,37 kr/kWh and grid cost is 2,68, saving me about 12kWh * (2,68-2,37) = 3,72 kr (about 0,32 euro). Am I getting this correct?


Question 2:

Why did DESS decide to supply 1kWh between 8-9 AM, then the highest price was actually one hour before?
