VictronConnect beta testing issues on Win7...

Hi developers,

On an older system (Windows7 SP1), where the 5.105 is installing and working fine...

Install of the new beta 6.00~13 is OK, but when you try to run it, it gives the following error.

Probably a missing library, but maybe telling the users what needs to additionally install will be a good thing, if not installed automatically like the MS install kits do.

Thank you!

Hey Alex, VictronConnect v6.00 is not supported on Windows 7; last working version for Windows 7 will be VictronConnect v5.105.

Unless we need to make a v5.106 some day.

What we'll do to mitigate this is a bit is:

1) make the VictronConnect v6.00 installer refuse to install on Windows 7

2) make sure that VictronConnect on Windows 7 doesn't auto update itself to this new version.

This error is different. It means that the file is locked or protected so installer can't replace the mentioned file. There are many reasons for this to happen.

Try to restart your PC, this will unlock the file in case that there is any other process locking it.
