Multiplus compact 1600 solar use while on AC

So in an idea world i would use the ESS assistant to use solar while available and grid AC to supplement eg at night or during power outages. the issue being we are not allowed to run grid tied/ feed back in my country so the ESS and Hub1 assistants wont work ?

what options are there to use solar during the day rather than the default of ac bypass when available?


i have looked at using the virtual switch to only use AC charging when voltage lower than 12.5 and turn off when > 13 but it seems a bit of a hack and not "perfect"

Hi, you can use an Ignore AC Input scheme using state of charge; not only on voltage. Many many installations work on ignoring ac input; and work really well.


and for ESS you can select to not feed in. But I dont know if thats good enough for local regulations.
