Provide solar to non-critical ac loads

At the moment I have:
- 1x Multiplus II 5000/48/70
- Cerbo Gx

- 1x Freedom won etower 5kwh

The plan is to add an MPPT, solar panels and a grid meter. I would prefer not to feed into the grid, so the grid setpoint would probably be 50-100w. There will be critical loads on AC-OUT and non-critical loads on AC-IN.

The question is once the battery is full and solar is powering the critical loads, can the remaining solar partially supplement the non-critical loads on AC-in which is connected to the grid.

This is the default way an ESS system works, you just need to properly configure it through VEconfigure, by adding the ESS assistant. Also, you wouldn't need the grid meter, if you connect the non-critical loads to the Multiplus' secondary AC-out.

Yes, but at night the battery is going to supply the non-critical loads.

In order to also supply power to the non-critical loads, you will require either a CT or energymeter, usually on the incoming tails, upstream of all the loads you want to supply.

True, unless non-critical loads are connected on the second AC-out of the Multiplus-II. That way, with no loads on the AC-in, the meter is not needed.

From original post. "There will be critical loads on AC-OUT and non-critical loads on AC-IN."
