Probably a dumb question about Quattro II 2x120

So I'm new to the Victron ecosystem and trying to understand some basics while trying to plan my system. On my boat I've got split phase 120/240 50a shore power, and a 12.5kw diesel generator. I know the Quattro II 2x120 will only deliver 120 power in inverter mode, but does one input accept the entire shore power connection and the other input the generator, or do I have to split the shore power across the two inputs? Thanks in advance!

Not dumb.

Take a look at the manual, which I bet you didn't know you can download.

It shows all the connections. The two AC inputs have 4 wires, ground, neutral and the two phase legs.
