Solar Power off grid

Hi

I have a question about off grid systems

I have ordered a MPPT 100/30 and a smart battery sense, but what happens to the power from the solar panel when the battery is fully charged ?

Are the MPPT just shutting down and where does the power go then ? Just around and around in the panels ?

Yes MPPT will ramp down output once in absorption phase. If there's no external source for the power to go to (ie a grid connection with feed in allowed).

This is fine for PV if you've got wind/hydro you'll need a dump load for the excess power.
