Venus gx temperature sensor

Hi

I have a Venus gx and would like to use the temperature function of this unit

I have a temp sensor ass000100000

1.Is this the correct sensor as the remote console says it’s disconnected or am I missing a setting

2. If not what is the correct part number for correct temperature sensor

3.will this display the temperature in the remote

Hi Solarone,

Unfortunately that is not the correct temperature sensor for the VenusGX.

Your part ASS000100000 is the Temperature sensor for BMV-702 &712.

The correct part is listed in the price list and the VenusGX data sheet.

ASS000001000 - Temperature sensor VENUS/PMP/Quattro.

This will display the temperature in the VRM and remote console.

@Guy Stewart (Victron Community Manager) - so if I understand correctly, we can put the Temp. Sensor that comes with the Quattro on the Venus GX too.

And actually: As we get 3 of these sensors in 3p Installations, do you have any advice if/how these can be made use of?

Venus GX has 2 Temp Sensor "ports". One could go on the battery (which is on the floor), can the other be used e.g.fixed below the ceiling to collect ambient temp there?

Does it make sense to connect a temp sensor to the Master-Quattro in a 3p config when Venus has already 2 temp sensors connected?
