grounding the Victron IP 22 charger

Hello, I have a cavaran and we'll be in a place for some time, completely off grid. I'll use a generator to charge a 12V lifepo4 battery through the IP22 30A charger. My question is about grounding. I know that the charger should be grounded through an earthed AC power outlet in a fixed grid but in my case.. can I ground the IP22 charger to the chassis of the caravan? or should I connect the charger & the generator to earth through an earth rod?

I saw the same question on another post but it wasn't answered :/

If the generator you are referring is a common residential style gas powered unit such as a Honda, Yamaha, etc. they have what's called a floating ground in which case no earth ground is required. All you have to do is start the generator, attach the charger leads to the battery, then plug the charger into the outlets on the generator.

Maybe this article will help: https://homebatterybank.com/do-i-need-to-ground-a-generator-simply-explained/

Edit: I should also add IF your RV has a surge protector the generator will need a ground neutral adaptor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2GqbM0JxlM
