Production irregularity

1000015615.jpg1000015616.jpgI have 2 arrays one west facing and one north facing.Can anybody shed some light on why my north facing arrays production is so irregular compared to my west array.Both arrays are free of shadows and receive the same solar conditions.They West array is bigger thus the higher output but the irregular output on the north is whats puzziling meand this is evident in the 2 graphs.Panels were all installed the same time and are all the same brand and size.Both arrays are running on indivdual mppt s 250/100s.Any input will be appreciated

Thanx

Trevor

@trevor

The intervals between tracking and re-tracking on the Victrons are about 10 minutes. So fairly normal.

For other MPPT you may not be seeing as it is re-tracking between log intervals. So the logs aren't catching it.

I have also seen depending on how they are connected to the system (can or ve direct) sometimes that happens.

Check your overall production and the voltage and amps from the panels.

Thanx Alexandra for the input,herewith the total output and voltages and current graphs.Does this look normal to you?

Are there any errors on the mppt?

Here are some samples from systems with 250/100s

Then all is ok. Curves look alot like the ones posted.

I have systems with 250/100s that I don't see the tracking on. The only thing I can think of is it is between logs.

If you are feeling paranoid just check all the connections up to the panels. All right and tight etc. but I don't see anything to worry about there.

Yes, it seems that from time to time, the send data event is in sync with the MPP (re)tracking.

Here's a sample from my system, where the retracking thing is at 5 minutes, not 10 like yours.

After a while, the retracking goes out of sync and you won't see it for a period...

So, don't worry, it's just about a total of 5-10 minutes lost from a day of production.
