Fine tune "Input current limit" - Multiplus-II

I want to select input current limit on my Multiplus to other levels than the standard 1701509770751.pngImage CaptionI experience some strange behavior. A few times I have been able to select 5 or 7, but in most cases I get the message 1701509930194.png. I get this message even when I select 3A

What is going on?

Can you please make some bigger screenshots so we can better see where you are trying to change the settings?

@Anders

That adjusts the input current limit from shore connection.

You have to use an MK3 to usb adaptor and victron connect to change the battery charge current. Although to some degree it is affected by input current limit.

Agree Alexandra - My question is not accurate.

I want to control the "Input current limit" to protect my source, and as a consequence that influence charge current.

The source in this case is one of three
- Electric Car (EV) via an inverter
- My old to be decommissioned 24V Multiplus

- My Honda 5500W generator

Sure Matthias - I believe I have tried all variants - I have a Cerbo GX:
- VRM
- Remote Console
- Directly on local IP-adr (screen shot)

I think they behave the same way but I am not sure.
In the direct IP metode shot above I try to lover from 6.0 to 5.5. When pressing "Enter" the value change back to 6.0 - No warning or message
While using Remote cons

ole or VRM I do get the warning message screenshot for yesterday.

Right Now the strange thing is that VRM thinks that Input current limit is set to 3.0A while the Cerbo displays 6.0A - Screenshot below:

I changed back to 10A - Works fine - tried to change back again to 3A and got this message:

@Anders

There's a minimum you can set..

1701604495718.png

This an extract from an Excel file available on Victron Professional. It matches what you've found.

You can set it lower, but will need to disable Power Assist in the Multi. And that may not suit your situation.
