MPPT75/15 - Connecting PV- and Bat-

Is there any potential electrical problem with connecting the PV- terminal and the Bat- terminal on the MPPT 75/15.

The connection will be a small bridging cable from one screw terminal to the other and both terminals of the MPPT will connect through a common cable through an enclosure wall to a connection point before splitting into two separate cables to each individual section of the circuit.

Why would you want to do that? The 75/15 is a charge controller which protects the batteries from potentially receiving too much voltage from the solar panels.

Don't do that.

Connection of power devices in a manner other than as expressly detailed in the user manual may result in aberrant system behavior up to and including catastrophic failure which would, of course, not be covered by the excellent warranty since warranty requires proper installation.

Please install the unit correctly, or not at all - this is not only for the integrity of the power system as a whole and all connected devices, but for the safety of life and property.
