I just installed a Multiplus 12/3000 and upon powering up in charger only mode it began throwing an L1 temp alarm. The ambient temp is in the 60s and the device itself is cool to the touch. Fans spin up immediately upon power up. Trying to sort out what the issue might be.
Try disconnecting anything that is connected to the multi other than the battery cables, Eg temp sensors, mk3-USB adaptor, GX device, ac output, etc
See if the alarm occurs with the unit in isolation.
Ended up working this out. The fans and temp sensor connect to the main board with two white connectors with brown wires. Both connectors were firmly connected but upon inspection one of the pins on one of the wires was nut fully seated into the connector and therefore was not making contact. It clicked into place and seems firmly seated now. Once the temp sensor was registering properly the unit worked like a champ.
