Generator AC in-1

Hello community,

My off grid system consists of:

Victron MultiplusII 10kW,

250/100 MTTP Ve.Can,

Cerbo GX,

Pylontech Force L1 518AH/24.86KW battery bank,

and 5.16KW solar panel system.

Can I connect the generator to the AC in-1 in of the inverter and charge the batteries together with the MTTP/panels. For example, on cloudy days with little solar production, I can complement it with the parallel generator.

many thanks

Hi @Mosquito52

Yes, you can do that. Standard procedure for we offgridders.

Some gensets can be fun setting up though, they aren't all created equal. Look closely at the input current limit in the Multi/Cerbo so you don't overload it, and there's a minimum you can set while retaining Power Assist.
