Fronius Symo Advnaced recognized as single phase on VRM.

Both have a FRONIUS SYMO ADVANCED attached.

On both systems (all firmwares updated) the Symo is recognized as single phase.

The result is a terrible mess up with the readings! The inverter is also appearing as UNknown instead of Fronius. See the readings on the attached snapshot to see how the L1 readings are crazy...

Any ideas?

The solution is to configure SunSpec support on the PV-inverter. Log into the Fronius web interface. Go to the Modbus tab Set Data export via Modbus to tcp. set Sunspec Model Type to int + SF

Modbus TCP Not Enable.

It is important for you to enable that on the fronius and the GX for it to work and be detected correctly

Hi I have the same issue, 3 inverters Fronius Symo. The new Fronius Symo Advance it show as Unknown PV inverter, Damanager works correctly, 1700478509845.png

It seems to be an interpretation error , generated by Cerbo GX 1700479020783.png


One of another inverters shows as picture, and i didn't have to configurate anything more to reach this status.

As @Vangelis Beligiannis mentioned the sunspec has to enabled on the Fronius itself and modbus TCP.

Check your settings on the Fronius.
