MultiPlus-II 2x 120V vs MultiPlus-II

Hi all,

I have a 30amp shore power sail boat. I understand that the MultiPlus-II 2x 120V is for 50amp L1 & L2 shore power connections.

Could I use the MultiPlus-II 2x 120V even for a 30amp shore power connection? Any advantages / disadvantages? or should I just get the MultiPlus-II 24/3000/70-50 (for 24v)

Thanks

Multiplus-II

The 2x120 can be used in a single phase 30 amp system without issue. If you have future plans to upgrade your boat to 50 amps I would go ahead with the 2x120. If not, save a few bucks and stick with the single 120.

Does the Multiplus II 2x120 require a configuration change to accept the 30 amp shore power or does it adjust automatically? Same question for 20 amp shore power.

It will handle it automatically but you should set the incoming ac current limit accordingly.
