SmartSolar 75/15 output current

I bought the SmartSolar 75/15 charge controller, and I would like to connect a small car amplifier to the load terminal. The amp has a fuse rated at 25 amps, but I won't go near its max power.

I run a 105 watt, 19 v solar panel on a 12v system.

Should I be okay to connect the amp to the load terminal, or can it damage it?

Does the load output and PV input share the same 15 amp rating or are they individual ratings?

Thanks in advance, Alex.

Hi Alex.

It is not a good idea to hook up such a large/dynamic load to the load terminals of your 75/15.

Look at figure 5, page 84 of the manual. Hook the load output of the controller to the REMOTE of the amp (add a toggle switch as well to manually turn on/off). Don't forget a fuse for the amps wiring.
