What can I run directly from charge controller with no battery?

If I only have a solar panel and charge controller, what kinds of loads can I run from the charge controller.

Example: 300 watt solar panel (max 39 volts at 9.78 amps) to a 75/15 SmartSolar.

Can I adjust the controller's voltages and current limiter to match the device I'm using without damaging the controller?

While not a supported application, I have customers who are running:

Video cameras connected to wifi equipment and water pumps.

They are connected to the load terminal of the smaller units, which is programmed to cut in and cut out at threshold voltages to prevent very low voltage or rapid on/off cycling in marginal solar conditions, and also potentially high voltage situations.

You will not damage the controller in this application. Though it is designed to be connected to a battery so there may be some spikes to be aware of without the battery voltage buffer to smooth things out.
