Multiplus 12/1600/70

IMG_0616.jpegMultiplus is going to overload at just above 400w

This is on a hairdryer/toaster/ hot air gun

It’s worked fine for over 1 year

Battery is a Roamer 300ah 250a battery

It has been getting lower on output showing overload started at 1000w

With the inverter input connected directly to the battery and the output connected directly to a variable inductive load (heat gun); at circa 400w load, the output voltage drops to 170vac while the input remains above 13vdc.

Now I’ve sent the inverter back and they have said it’s all fine

Im at a loss

Are you sure the heat gun is an inductive load?

Tbh I’d be unsure

But it’s doing to same toaster/ heat gun (variable load ) and curling tongs

Toaster and curling tongs rated 750-800 w

It has got progressively worse ie toaster would have toasted fully before overloading

To barely able to switch on

In the picture the voltage drops to 173v

Look at the AC amps!

Watts does not equal volts x amps.

Highly inductive?

What is the volts x amps for the toaster ?

That should be purely resistive.

Ac amps are low (why?)

Toaster is a 800w can’t find amp details

But they all worked fine and still do on ehu
