Pretend power

I have the Victron 100/30 solar charger.

A few days ago it started saying it was still bringing in 400w in the sun we are having, but it isn’t. It can read battery voltage through the app so I know it’s connected to the batteries.

Even connecting a tiny external charger gets the voltage to jump up, as I can see in the Victron app. But the power supposedly coming in does nothing. Says 400w but delivers nothing. Also it says 400w right up until the sun is low, and I know it can’t possibly do that from how it used to work

Any ideas?

Perhaps disconnect it from pv and the battery so it can completely power off. Connect it again and see if it is any better. Presume firmware and app versions are up to date.

@Colpalfrey

Also check for DC loads that would siphon off the MPPT output before the battery sees it.
