Can I leave a Smartsolar MPPT 20/100 connected to my aux battery while driving?

Hi All! Just installed a new AGM auxiliary battery in my Hilux. I'm busy fitting a 300w panel and a SmartSolar 20/100 charge controller. The system connects the Start battery (Lead acid) to the Accessory battery on start up via a solenoid. can I leave the SmartSolar 20/100 permanently connected and charging while driving (and start up)?

yes. The voltage limits in the MPPT will limit the charge current whilst driving, and our solenoid should isolate the battery whilst starting.

My solenoid isolates when ignition is turned off and connects as soon as the ignition is turned on (before cranking). Will this be an issue for the charge controller?
