morning . is there a quick link i can obtain for the settings required to hook up a multi plus 2 48 v 5000 to a lithium 280 ah 48 v bank with a smart bms or any suggestions on the most efficent off grid procedure . The more i can ponder the better . cheers
Assuming you're building your own 16S battery with EVE or similar cells.
And by "Smart BMS" I assume you mean one you can connect to and see the cell data, and not one that can communicate with a Cerbo or other GX in the system.
You'll need an MK3-USB adapter to program the MP.
Absorption:
3.45V/cell for a long slow charge with a 2-3 hour absorption period.
3.55V/cell for a fast charge with 30-60 minute absorption period.
Float:
3.375V/cell
If charging with grid, 3.45V is preferred. If charging with generator, 3.55V is preferred.
3.45V/cell minimizes stress on cells and should maximize cycle life.
