AC1 or Ac2 input current limits on Victron 48/15000/200-100/100

Hello.

Does any one can tell me if it is possible to lower de AC1 or AC2 input limits bellow 16A on Victron 48/15000/200-100/100 ? I change the configuration with VEConfig to 10A or even lower, but the minimum real value obtained is near 16A. The problem is that the mains connected in AC2 input have a breaker limited to 15A and it trips after some time. The system is working OK, but this limitation is quite a problem.I have upgraded the firmware to the 2656502 version but I did not obtained any significant change.

Question: Is it possible to lower the real AC input current on AC1/AC2 inputs bellow 16A on Victron 48/15000/200-100/100?

Thanks!

Hi @Joao Capelao

The minimum listed for that unit is 14.5A

It should accept exactly that if you input it via VEConfig, but if you have one of the other external selection options running it might round-up to a higher figure. To make sure that doesn't happen you could untick the 'Overruled by remote' box, at least to test.

There's no lower limit if you turn off Power Assist. That comes with downsides, but it's an option if you have little load on and no other way around it.

Hello JohnC,

can you tell me where you have these Values from ?

Is there a table with this Values for all Victron Multis/Quattros ?

Thanks JohnC,

As a matter of fact I have already unticked the 'Overruled by remote' box and stills happening the same. According to your information I believe that it is not possible to lower the AC input bellow 14,5A for this equipment. I think it is working properly but this value is almost the setting of the 15A breaker and what is happen makes sense. The idea was to power a load of 6KW using about 12 or 13A from mains 230VAC and complement the rest with battery power 48VDC.

Anyway I am grateful for your help.

Many thanks,
